Join artist Mr Kobo to explore the art of pyrography (woodburning) and create your own original artworks on wood.
Learn how to create images, textures and patterns using this unique medium, then bring your designs to life with colourful inks and paint.
Take inspiration from summer wildlife, nature and local landscapes, or bring your own ideas and leave with a small collection of artworks to treasure.
Suitable for beginners, with new creative challenges for returning participants.

Spraypaint Art

Discover exciting ways to create art with spray paint, through a variety of creative exercises.
Guided by North Wales Artist, Mr Kobo, participants will safely learn spray painting fundamentals and explore how colour, shape, texture and layering can bring their ideas to life.
Experiment with blends and fades, creating different textures, and making stencils using natural and found objects alongside your own designs.
Then add drawn details and patterns using paint pens to create a bold, colourful artwork to take home and display!

Nature Relief Printing

Celebrate the beauty of summer with a creative printmaking workshop inspired by the stunning surroundings of Plas Glyn-y-Weddw.
The session begins with a gentle walk through the gardens and woodlands, gathering leaves, flowers, ferns, and other natural treasures to use as inspiration. Back at the outdoor shelter, these collected natural materials will be transformed into beautiful relief prints, exploring texture and pattern through a fun and accessible printmaking process.
Each child will create a collection of unique botanical prints to take home, ready to display or frame as a lasting reminder of a creative day spent in nature.

*Please wear suitable footwear and old clothing for printing.
Natural Fabric Dyeing

In this workshop, participants place natural materials onto a canvas sheet, then steam it for 20 minutes to create beautifully dyed fabric. The process can also be applied to tote bags and socks.
