📍 Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, Outdoor Shelter
Join local clay artist Gabriella Rhodes for a hands-on workshop making polished clay spheres using local clay soils responsibly gathered on Pen Llŷn. Participants will learn how to identify and responsibly forage clay in the landscape while exploring the histories of clay on the peninsula, from deep time to its role in traditional earth building.
Focusing on process over outcome, the workshop offers a way of grounding through making, inspired by the Japanese craft of Hikaru Dorodango. Participants will leave with their own handmade clay sphere and stand, and a technique that can be repeated at home.
