FYNNU is a 12-month pilot residency and engagement programme based at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw and across Pen Llŷn, exploring how artists and communities can respond to climate change and climate justice in rural and coastal contexts. Developed with Ecoamgueddfa Llŷn, the project positions PGyW as a site for artistic experimentation, reflection and positive climate action.
Across 2026, FFYNNU will host four environmentally-engaged artist residencies, supporting artists in Wales through mentorship, professional development and sustainable practice. Alongside this, participatory activity will take place across six Ecoamgueddfa heritage sites, working with local and underrepresented communities to explore themes including farming, fishing, ecological change, tourism and intergenerational stewardship. The focus is on shared inquiry and creative experimentation rather than finished artworks, testing inclusive, place-based ways of making climate issues felt, understood and actionable.
