Mr Kobo: Wood + Art

• 10:00-12:00 (for Ages 5+)
• 13:00-15:00 (for Ages 10+)

In this fun and imaginative workshop, explore natural materials combined with a range of creative techniques to make unique works of art inspired by nature. 

With guidance from local artist Mr Kobo, participants will discover the art of pyrography and learn how to draw, write, and create expressive marks on wood using this special wood-burning technique. 

Other activities included in the session will be, exploring colour with inks, making textured prints and impressions from natural objects, and learning how to create simple geometric and Celtic-inspired patterns. 

The workshop encourages creativity, confidence, and self-expression for all abilities, in a relaxed and supportive environment. 

Leave with a variety of distinctive, handmade artworks to take home and treasure.

• 10:00-12:00 (for Ages 5+) Printing Workshop to Design a Blanket: An opportunity to create your own stamp following inspiration from the National Parkexhibition or use it to design a blanket.
• 13:00-15:00 (for Ages 10+) Design a Blanket using Maps: Using maps as a starting point to create a plan for your own blanket, there will also be an opportunity to print using letters to create the Welsh names.
