Take part in a morning of seed harvesting around the Winllan woodland at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw with Simon Gibbs at Yr Oriel Fyw. Gather seeds while exploring the woodland, learning about nature and getting involved in practical conservation.

*All ages are welcome, but participants should be comfortable walking uphill on a steep section of the coastal path and across uneven terrain. Please consider these route conditions when deciding whether the activity is suitable for you.

Workshop with Alys Mererid Roberts + Frederick Brown

Come for a wonder to a magical woodland of the imagination, where music will bring the colours, sounds and animals of the forest to life for kids and their adults alike.

Come and sing with us, and help us to create the noises of the forest whilst learning a bit about classical music too.

Bring something soft to lie on if your child cannot sit unaided, and bring along any percussion instruments (rattles, shakers, rainmakers) that your child enjoys playing with too.

The session will last approximately 45 minutes.

Discover the charm of Welsh folk art in this immersive, hands-on masterclass for adults. Inspired by the distinctive, three-dimensional style of renowned artist Luned Rhys Parri, you will learn how to turn humble, everyday materials into a striking, texture-rich piece of sculptural art.

Guided through the process step-by-step, you will construct a pair of nostalgic hobnailed boots.

Learn the secrets of building structural wire skeletons, layering and sculpting with cardboard and paper, and adding the paint and plaster finishes that give Luned’s work its signature relief texture.

Whether you are an experienced maker or a curious beginner, you will leave with a unique, tactile work of art ready to hang or display, alongside the skills to continue your mixed-media exploration at home.

13:30-15:30 

Join Charlotte (Kin & Co) for a fun, hands-on Christmas wreath-making workshop where you’ll create a beautiful festive wreath using fresh foliage, dried florals, and natural decorative elements. Charlotte will guide you step by step, sharing tips and techniques to help you create a design that reflects your own style. Suitable for both beginners and experienced crafters, you’ll leave with a handcrafted wreath to enjoy through to the New Year.

Our wreaths are made entirely with natural materials—no plastic or floral foam is used.

The workshop lasts approximately 2 hours, and all materials are included. Wreaths measure around 40cm in diameter and are perfect for displaying on your front door.

The wreath pictured is an example of the style and materials available. As everyone chooses their own foliage, colours, and decorative elements, each wreath will be unique.
