Using traditional tools and techniques and wood from his native Anglesey, Huw will guide you through each step of the process.

Gain an insight into sharpening and maintenance, suitable wood selection, and the safe and efficient use of cutting tools.

 

30.05.26 | Apex Bird Nest Box Making Workshop with Mark Empatage

A short practical workshop to construct a garden bird box from reclaimed wood. In pre cut form the pieces are assembled and finished with the option to personalise a design using a pyrography tool. Working in pairs to complete individual boxes fosters the sharing of acquired practical skills and communicating with colleagues within the group. You get to keep to box you built and there will be an option to build another box for a nominal fee of £20.

Robust and ascetically pleasing the design is built to last and enhance habitat for years. The Apex bird provides a comfortable home for most common garden birds. Choosing one of the three different hole sizes to allow you to select the for the species you want to attract.
