An all-day session led by Rob Parkinson from the National Trust and artist Sioned Medi Evans, in collaboration with Plas Glyn-y-Weddw and Ecoamgueddfa Llŷn, as part of the Welsh Museums Festival.
The morning session will include a short introduction at the Plas to the Swansea and Nantgarw Porcelain collections housed at the Plas. To follow, there will be a walk around the nearby woodland and beach led by Rob Parkinson who will discuss the plants and creatures seen along the way, activities will also be held during the journey.
Lunch will be provided during the day - please get in touch by emailing post@oriel.org.uk if you have any dietary requirements. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch if you wish.
Following the lunch break, there will be a creative workshop with the artist Sioned Medi Evans inspired by the morning nature walk, and which will also celebrate the Swansea and Nantgarw porcelain collection exhibited at the Plas. A chance to bring nature's colours and textures together through collage and drawing
The session's activities are suitable for children aged 5+ but younger children are welcome to join but this is at the parent or guardian’s digression.
Places must be booked per person/plate (aged 5+) to ensure numbers.
