Kiowa Casey is a photographic artist and bookmaker from Morfa Nefyn, she has a BA degree in Photography from the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). Utilising medium-format black-and-white photography, her work seeks to explore psychological landscapes, uncovering fundamental truths about herself, relationships, and the world she inhabits. Drawing on personal experience and literature to inform narrative, her poetic investigations call for increased empathy—nurturing connection through compassion.
“Eos is a collection of photographs made seventeen years after the passing of our eldest sister, Asher. Half-written letters, aged clothes, and the quiet weight of guilt are carefully unboxed and photographed. Eos is a return, a re-emergence, like the arrival of light. Each photograph is a window into the tenderness of memory, into the soft traces of love that we carry with us in fragments. The abandoned objects are both tether and testament — her enduring influence on the landscape of us.” - Kiowa Casey
