Tem is a Welsh artist from Morfa Nefyn, with a background in Fine Art painting from Camberwell College of Art. Since completing her studies, Tem's artistic practice has evolved, becoming more focused on her deep connection to nature and the wildlife around her. Drawing inspiration from the animals and people in her environment, Tem's work explores the intricate relationship between humanity and the natural world.

Primarily working in oil paint, but equally drawn to experimenting with other mediums, including watercolour and needle felting. Tem's passion for wildlife and the beauty of nature drives her to explore new ways to express these themes, always seeking the most effective medium to convey her love for the natural world.

Through her work, Tem aims to highlight the delicate balance and stunning beauty that exists within nature, offering viewers a glimpse into the serene and often overlooked aspects of the world around us. Her art is a celebration of the wild, a reminder of the profound connection we share with the environment and the creatures that inhabit it.

Growing up in Pen Llŷn, Tem's connection to horses blossomed at an early age, becoming one of the first subjects she learned to draw. Horses provided her with a sense of peace during her childhood, and their strength and grace became a source of solace and inspiration. Through this work, she aims to capture the profound emotional resonance that horses evoke.

Focusing on their power to convey emotion, Tem uses oil paint and light to reflect the deep bond she shares with these majestic creatures. Each stroke is a testament to the serenity and strength horses offered her during formative years, allowing the artsist to express a unique and personal connection to the animals. In her work, Tem seeks to evoke the emotions that horses bring forth power, connection and a sense of calm, inviting the viewer to experience the profound comfort they’ve brought her throughout her life.
