Katherine studied architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University between 2008 and 2015. She achieved a First Class Honours at BSc level in 2011, a Masters of Architecture in 2013 and gained her Professional Diploma in 2015. After a period of living in London and a five month trip travelling, Katherine returned to live in Cardiff in August 2016 and develop her career as both a part time practicing architect and a part time artist.

Katherine produces pen, ink and watercolour drawings of landscapes and animals. All of her work draws influence from many cultures and art forms, combining these to create a style that is unique and contemporary. She finds the beauty, detail and patterns of familiar settings and objects, and reinterprets these into her artwork. The pen and ink drawings represent familiar places in unique ways. They are built up with often repetitive line work to create an unusual and rich tapestry of patterns. They are extremely detailed and intricate and aim to capture the spirit of a place.
