Anna Pritchard X Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri National Park

Eryri Placenames Throws is a special exhibition celebrating the wealth of Eryri’s historic landscape names through the age-old craft of wool weaving. Place names capture the spirit of place, spark the imagination and evoke everyday life and histories of the past.
Six unique woollen throws record a selection of landscape names gathered through local knowledge across Eryri. Designed by weaver and textile designer Anna Pritchard, each throw represents a distinct area, with designs reflecting its special features.
Commissioned by the Eryri National Park Authority, the throws form part of a wider effort to record and safeguard Eryri’s landscape names for the future.
