Volunteering work include tasks such as weeding around the shrubs and plants which surround the open air theatre and car park, weeding and looking after the garden in front of the mansion, planting native trees in the woodland and cutting back bracken and brambles which grow onto the paths.

These tasks are essential to maintain the woodland and grounds and to ensure that it remains a popular destination for our visitors.

Volunteer input has been instrumental in ensuring the success of the Winllan project – a team took an active part in restoring the woodland trails between 2009 and 2013.
