Karen started her career working as a freelance designer in London designing patterns for fashion. She designed work for Victoria's Secret, Gap and Valentino as well as the market in America and Hong Kong.
In 2004, she started a PGCE course and has now been teaching art at Sir Hugh Owen school in Caernarfon for over twenty years.
She enjoys teaching, but is also lucky enough to enjoy free time walking and exploring the mountains of Snowdonia drawing and exaggerating the colours in the beautiful scenery on her doorstep.
She exhibits her work in Zip World, Bethesda, Artworks 2 in Betws y Coed, Galeri Carwsel, Bernard Gallery, Llandudno and Oriel Môn. This is her first solo exhibition at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw.
