Iwan Gwyn Parry, born in 1970 in Holyhead, now lives in Rachub near Bethesda. He studied art at Bangor Technical College from 1987-89 and then went on to receive a first class degree in Fine Arts from the Cardiff Institute of Higher Education.

In 1993 he received a Painting MA from the Chelsea School of Art, London. Today he works part-time as a college lecturer at Coleg Menai, Bangor. In his work Iwan depicts every facet of the modern landscape, its industrial landmarks as well as its natural beauty. He paints powerful and dramatic oils and watercolours of the north Wales coast.
