Archie Miles is a highly regarded photographer and writer with an abiding passion for the British landscape and a natural progression over the last twenty years has seen him carve a specialist niche in the world of trees. He has written and photographed eight books on the subject and contributed images to many more books and publications. His 2013 monograph on “The British Oak”, went on to a second edition in 2016, the same year that “Treescape” – a special commission from Premier Paper Group was published. His latest work “ASH”, published in September 2018, is a monograph celebrating all aspects of the ash tree in Britain, before most of them succumb to ash dieback. His 2012 volume on the Heritage Trees of Wales is sadly out of print. He lives and works near Hereford.
