Janey Masters (b 1963) lived in various places, including London, Devon, and New Zealand, before finally coming home to settle in Wales, the land of her forefathers. A keen interest in the history and landscape of Wales is often the basis for her art. .

She is a self-taught artist, her style being influenced by a love of the simplicity and boldness to be found in Naïve and Folk Art streams

Janey has been passionate about art since childhood.

Her teenage years, living on a rural sheep farm, have left her with a deep love of landscape, and all things agricultural, and are the inspiration behind the creation of her popular farming characters, 'Gwyn & Gwawr' - artworks of which have sold to keen collectors locally and internationally.

A firm belief in the power of comedy to lift the spirit, is reflected in many of her artworks, which often incorporate a subtle humour.
