From a post-world war North Devon seaside town and its unusual landscapes Anne’s earliest images were subconsciously implanted.
She graduated in English at Exeter and taught for twelve years in Bristol, Salisbury, Spain and London
Meanwhile, eye-hand co-ordination and a feeling for form and weight were being honed through life drawing at Central School Holborn and Whitechapel, and through intimate drawings of the flora of the Pyrenees, and Cornwall
When the opportunity arose, she turned full-time to figurine work, co-directing a studio workshop through the 1990's
She came to Llyn 22 years ago from Norfolk and its network of footpaths and huge eastern skies, since when she has managed, almost single-handed, and until recently, a small rural plas and gardens, with Western hills and lonely shores always at hand, beckoning.
