Artist: Stephen J Owen

Artist’s Statement

Stephen John Owen was born in 1959 in Caernarfon. He is a self-taught artist who as a child spent many a summer holiday on his grandparents’ farm at Church Bay Anglesey. His fond memories of this time have influenced his paintings, which reflect both rural and urban landscapes.

Rural being the old farms and cottages of the area, the urban being mostly influenced by his upbringing as a young man in Caernarfon town.

His paintings, already well known to many, are included in many personal collections across England and Wales. Stephen's art work has been featured on S4C’s 'Y Sioe Gelf ' and ' Wedi 7.'
