Artist: Wendy Murphy

Artist’s Statement

Born at Farnborough in Kent in 1956. After spending 13 years as a typesetter, Wendy Murphy decided at the age of 28 pursue a career in art.

“I gain inspiration from direct observation of the landscapes, people that I know things from my everyday life. Colour is an important element in the work- my ain being to create mood and intensity through the juxtaposition of certain colours”.
