Artist: Wynne Jenkins

Artist’s Statement

A native of Llangennech, near Llanelli, he graduated from the University of Wales, Swansea. He lives in Caermarthen, which has been his home town for over thirty years and where he was Deputy Headmaster at Ysgol Gyfun Bro Myrddin.

His initial inspiration came via his art teacher at the Llanelli Boys School, John Bowen. An admirer of Kyffin Williams, Josef Herman, Will Roberts, Claudia Williams, Shani Rhys James and Tom Nash, he states Gwilym Pritchard as his biggest current day inspiration.

Wynne exhibits Wales wide and is in high demand from our collectors here at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw.
