Sculpture LOUISE

Louise is the work of renowned Welsh sculptor David Williams-Ellis. She was presented to the Gallery by Mary Yapp (the great grand-daughter of Solomon Andrews) and the late Sir Kyffin Williams.

In 2002 she was stolen from the garden. Later recovered after much media coverage Lousie was housed indoors for the following 4 years. In 2008 she has returned to her rightful place in the garden thanks to the engineering work of a friend of the Gallery Mike Madden.

Louise is now protected by 24-hour CCTV and alarms. We like her so much at the gallery that we have now adopted her as our logo.
