After a long career in the police service Clive Burnell became a full time artist in 2003. In 2004 he was runner-up in the ' Spirit of Llyn ' art competition before taking the main prize in the same competition in 2006. He has exhibited at galleries throughout Wales and the west country including St Davids Hall, Cardiff, The South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts, Exeter ( Phillip Malone award prizewinner ) and the Royal West of England gallery, Bristol.

Carys Bryn was born on the Farm Bryneura on the Llyn in 1965. Graduating in printing in North Staffordshire Polytechnic in 1988, she has since been commissioned for various artistic jobs from designing books to face painting!
A farmer's daughter, a mother of two and a full time art teacher in Pwllheli, she re-started painting a few years ago, enjoying throwing paint on canvas morning, noon and night. Read more...

Her oil paintings are inspired by the dramatic effects of light and shade on the landscape, and the weather conditions found in the mountains and along the coast. Keith Bowen was born in Wrexham, Denbighshire in 1950, and lives in North Wales. He studied Art and Design at Manchester Polytechnic from 1969-72. In 1997, he was awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the University of Wales.

The concept of collecting and retaining memories fascinates me. I work mainly from old photographs, using my own and others found at random in charity shops or on bric-a-brac stalls. As a painter my main interest is focused upon the visual impact of memory relating to place, time and movement. The humble snapshot photograph can bring back memories of previous times and events. Other people's photographs can assist us to recall forgotten memories: in effect using someone else's image to recall memories of our own, whether real, imagined or distorted.

Iwan Bala is a well known artist and author in Wales and has worked extensively overseas. He was born in 1956 and brought up in Sarnau near Bala, North Wales. Since 1974 he has lived and worked in Wales’ capital city, Cardiff.
