Read more...Gwyneth ap Tomos was born in Caeathro near Caernarfon in 1937. Gwyneth ap Tomos and her husband, Dafydd, rescued Plas Glyn y Weddw in the last quarter of the 20th century when the building was saved from impending dereliciotn by their sheer determination, and was once again opened as a public gallery. As a tribute to Gwyneth and Dafydd, a room at the Plas exhibiting the work of our best artists has been named 'Oriel Ap Tomos

Kim Atkinson lived on the island of Bardsey for the first seven years of her life and again for ten years in the 1980s and '90s. Her work has been exhibited all over Wales and England and her artistic reputation has brought her invitations to work in many parts of the world, including Australia and Poland.

Anne Aspinall

Anne Aspinall was born in Manchester in 1949, and trained at Manchester College of Art. She joined the Longden Gallery & Workshops in 1986 as a printmaker specialising in etching. From 1988 to 1989 she travelled extensively in Europe and North Africa where the effects of strong sunlight on the desert landscape and the rich texture and patterns of the architecture and textiles made a lasting impression.
